Assignment#20-Monet

                                                                    Monet:

     Oscar Claude Monet was born on November 14,1840, in Paris, France. He is a very well known painter. He has painted many famous works of art. He is the second son of Claude Adolphe Monet and Louise Justine Aubrée Monet. Monet has two sons.

      In 1845, Monet and his family moved to La Havre, Normandy. His father wanted him to go into the family grocery business, but he wanted to become an artist. On April 1,1851, he attended La Havre secondary school of the arts. He took his first drawing lessons from Jacques-François Ochard. In May 1883 Monet rented a home and two acres of land. It had a barn, orchards, and gardens.

      Monet traveled many places to paint the sceneries. On December 5, 1926, Monet died of cancer. His house was opened for tour. Many tourist from around the world came to see the home. Monet's works were sold for millions of dollars. Monet was a very skilled and talented painter. Many people around the world loved his works of arts.
