Blog Assignment#14- Media

                                           Media Crossing The Line:

I believe that we do live in a media frenzy world. The people in the media have to be very careful what they do. In some cases I feel that the media kinda takes things too far. Actors,Actress,Politicians, etc. does not have a private life. Everything they do is shown on t.v.
In some cases the people who are being broad casted on t.v are accounted for their actions. Since they are in the media they should be good examples. I also feel that their private lives should not be broad casted on the t.v. without their permission. I think that their should be a boundary for the media. It is o.k. to broad cast somethings, but somethings are personal and private.
An example of the media crossing the line is Lindsay Lohan's situation. She is a very bad influence and has gone down the wrong road ;however, every where I look they are talking about her. Her face is plastered on every magazine and news channel. I think they are taking it too far. She is not a good example but she deserves to keep her personal life private.
Another example is Paris Hilton. Just like Lohan she is not a good example either. She is also in every magazine. Everywhere I look I see A headlining story about her and going to court. I feel that the media  should not broad cast her personal life unless they have permission.
In conclusion, I feel in some cases the media does cross a line. I feel that no one wants their private life to be broad casted on t.v. I know that I would not want any one to put anything personal about my life. I think that we do live in a media frenzy world.

Blog Assignment # 13- Declaration of Independence

                                       Declaration Of Independence:

How are the core values of American democracy incorporated into the Declaration?

The Core values are Liberty, Democracy, Equality, Individual responsibility. We have the right to liberty and The Pursuit of happiness. The right to justice, equality, and freedom of Speech.

What responsibilities does the government have to honoring these core values? What responsibilities do individual citizens have to preserve these core values?

Government:
Treat citizens with equality
Life
Liberty
The Pursuit of Happiness
If a citizen wants privacy the government should give it to them
Allow citizens the right to buy property

Citizens:
Pay Taxes
Work
Show Patriotism
Respect and obey the Laws
Vote

How might some or all of these core values be important to the preservation of a free and independent press?

The values are important because without them we would not be able to speak our minds about a situation. When we do have to say something I think that it should be something that respects the laws.

Identify the core values of American constitutional democracy that allow private citizens to collect, edit and further distribute information to others and how the values help drive these actions.

Citizens are allowed freedom of speech. The can demand the truth as long as one is not doing anything to break the laws.

What responsibilities do producers of information have to these core values and their fellow citizens when distributing information?

Since Citizens are allowed Freedom of Speech and Press, the producers are allowed to produce what they want. They should not produce anything that contradicts the law.
